He completed his graduation from Sydenham College.He was married to Geetanjali in 1971 and he has two sons with her, Rahul and Akshaye, both of whom are established actors. He was a follower of Osho and moved into his commune in USA. This brought an end to his marriage with Geetanjali.Khanna married Kavita in 1990 and they have two children, Sakshi and Shraddha. The actor turned to politics in 1997 when he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was the Union Minister of Culture & Tourism in 2002 and later was with the Ministry of External Affairs.Vinod Khanna’s Movies Vinod Khanna started in Bollywood with supporting roles. He was seen in a villainous role in the Sunil Dutt’s Man Ka Meet (1968). This continued throughout 1970 when he worked in movies like Purab Aur Paschim (1970), Aan Milo Sajna (1970) and Sachaa Jhutha (1970). In 1971, he got his break in Gulzar’s Mere Apne with Meena Kumari and Yogita Bali. He was seen in the critically successful, Sunil Dutt’s Reshma Aur Shera (1971), as Amitabh Bachchan’s brother. He worked with actresses like Shabana Azmi, Rekha and Rakhee in movies like Khoon Pasina (1977), Amar Akbar Anthony (1978) and Muqaddar Ka Sikander (1978). He was seen with Sridevi in Chandni (1989), as Lalit who falls in love with her.His fans saw less of him in the 90s.
